have to agree if your hearing the little hammer in there it is the hard drive, BACK YOUR DATA UP ASAP! I would purchase an external hard drive to move pictures/music what ever you want to save. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy new computer rather than pay a repair cost I have seen some as high as $90 an hour(just glad I never needed their services).

If you turn to a off the shelf computer just be sure it has the graphics card to push EU or you will be looking to upgrade the day you buy it
